Hourly rate published, not an RFP game.

People ask what we cost. Here is the answer — not wrapped in "it depends". What is on the list is on the list. What is not, we work out in a short call.

01 · Hourly rate

Ad-hoc, non-contract work. Ten years of software, five years of AI. Invoiceable, guaranteed, Hungarian or EU contract.

For larger or longer engagements a monthly retainer is 5–10% cheaper than hourly billing.

This is a blended rate — within one engagement we handle UI, backend, ops, and AI. You don't pay a senior premium just because someone also understands the database.

We don't invent the price in a vacuum — the market matters. But we are not priced against the cheapest option.

The EU freelance band covers Toptal-style platforms (€30–80/h). The "cheap international option" typically costs more than we do — just in euros and English.

FAQ

What we get asked.

VAT?
All prices net. Hungarian clients: 27% VAT on top. EU B2B: reverse-charge.
Do you work fixed-price?
Yes, on a scoped project. But we spend 20–40 hours on the problem first, to know what we're signing. That time is billed hourly. A blind fixed price is not honest.
Open-source discount?
Yes — if the repo is public and our work is published as part of it: 20% off the applicable tier.
On-call. 3am. What happens?
Premium includes a dedicated rotation with a guaranteed response time. Continuous can include on-call in a negotiated window — not 24/7 by default. Base doesn't include incident response.
This is a lot. Others are cheaper.
Probably. But others don't run what they build — when it fails, you're on a new contract, a new team, a new ramp-up. We don't hand off. Total cost of ownership lands lower. See why we run what we build.
